THE MANAGEMENT OF SMALL LANDFILL SITES AND WASTE TRANSFER STATIONS

NetWaste recently held a workshop for its Council members to discuss and highlight issues relating to the management of small landfill sites and waste transfer stations.
Members were able to listen to the experiences of other Council representatives and guest speakers who presented information on:
- Upgrading their existing landfill sites
- Designing and planning new waste transfer stations in the region
- Risk assessment and managing small landfill sites
- The process of closing and rehabilitating old sites
- Recycling systems for waste transfer stations
