Opening of Cowra Community recycling Centre

The new Community Recycling Centre (CRC) at Cowra is open. This means local residents can now drop off any of those awkward household items including old paint, gas bottles, motor oils, fluoro lights, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and batteries.

It’s free to drop off these items and everything is really clearly marked at the centre. The waste items will then be safely disposed of or recycled. For example the lead, acid and plastic in lead acid batteries are recovered and recycled, keeping these materials out of our landfill.

The CRC is located on Glen Logan Road. For more information on opening hours visit www.cowracouncil.com.au

This facility is funded by the NSW waste levy via the EPA’s Waste Less, Recycle More initiative.
