Community Recycling Centres

Community Recycling Centre

New Community Recycling Centres (CRC) have been built in different Council areas to help deal with problem wastes’ produced from households that should not be thrown in our garbage bins including:

  • Paint
  • Gas bottles
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Motor and other oils
  • Car batteries
  • Household batteries
  • Smoke detectors
  • Fluoro globes and tubes

Only household quantities of these materials will be accepted (generally 20litres or 20kg of each waste type). Please ensure you handle and transport your items carefully. Protect your vehicle by placing items on a protective sheet or tray to capture any leakages or breakages.
